Job summary

Ontic, located in Miramar, Florida, seeks a Temporary IT Helpdesk Support Technician to join our IT team. The role covers Tier 1 and Tier 2 support across desktops and peripherals, with emphasis on Windows systems, Microsoft 365, and security policy adherence.

Immediate start for a contract up to 3+ months. You will assist with user provisioning, patching, and endpoint security while maintaining documentation and supporting audits in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with computer troubleshooting and user support.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to handle multiple projects under policies and procedures.
• Solid cybersecurity best practices awareness.
• Excellent documentation and communication with technical and non-technical users.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT support for desktops, laptops, ruggedized systems and peripheral devices.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network connectivity issues in line with IT security policies.
• Install, configure and maintain Windows-based systems and support Microsoft 365, engineering applications and specialized defense software.
• Support user account provisioning, access controls and Active Directory management.
• Perform patch management, antivirus updates and endpoint security monitoring.
• Maintain system documentation and technical records in accordance with applicable compliance requirements, including support for audits and compliance checks.
• Escalate incidents in line with established incident response and security procedures.
