Job summary

Intel Corporation in Hillsboro, Oregon is looking for a Process Integration and Yield Technician to support an electron microscopy lab. You will prepare ultra-thin specimens and/or perform TEM analysis to support process and product development, qualification, and failure analysis, using dual-beam FIB and TEM tools.

The role requires learning new skills, applying judgment to non-standard problems, and maintaining thorough records.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 1+ years of hands-on lab or manufacturing experience.
• Technical certification required.
• 1+ years of military-relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering activities in fabrication, failure analysis, technology development, process development, and process integration.
• Perform sample preparation or imaging using advanced focused-ion-beam and/or transmission electron microscope tools for R&D.
• Work is completed according to general instructions; some judgment for non-standard problems.
• Maintain necessary records and reports; perform other related duties as directed.
• Continuously upgrade skills and learn from others.

Job Details

The Process Integration and Yield Technician will be responsible for but not limited to: In this position, you will work in an exciting electron microscopy lab supporting Intel's advanced technology development. Responsible for making ultra-thin specimens and/or performing TEM analysis in support of process/product development, qualification and failure analysis. Requires use of dual beam FIB for TEM sample preparation and/or TEM for imaging and analysis. Continuous upgrading of skillset requires open attitude and ability to learn from others. Work is completed according to general instructions and prioritization. Some degree of judgment is required in resolving non-standard problems. Maintain necessary records and reports. Performs other related duties as required or as directed.

• Technical functions in support of engineering activities such as fabrication, failure analysis, technology development, process development, and process integration.


• Conducts engineering tasks and detailed technical procedures to perform sample preparation or imaging using advanced focused-ion-beam and/or transmission electron microscope tools in support of the research and development activities of Intel.


• Work is completed according to general instructions.


• Some degree of judgment is required in resolving nonstandard problems.


• Performs other related duties as required or as directed.


• Continuous upgrading of skillset; requires an open attitude and skills to learn from others.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a Technical Area (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics Technology, Material Science or comparable field).


• 1 + years of hands-on Lab and or manufacturing experience.


• Technical Certification.


• 1 + years of military-relevant experience.

Preferred qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with sample preparation using FIB/SEM and/or Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) operation.

Annual Salary Range

$70,670.00-99,770.00 USD (Hourly Role)
