About the opportunity:

1. Outlier is looking for talented writers with fluency in Telugu to help train generative artificial intelligence models.
2. This freelance opportunity is remote and offers flexible hours, allowing you to work whenever is best for you.
3. Your tasks will include reading Telugu (India) text to rank responses produced by an AI model, writing short stories in Telugu on given topics, and assessing the factual accuracy of Telugu texts generated by AI.

Examples of desirable expertise:

1. Experience as a professional translator.
2. Enrollment in or completion of an undergraduate program in a humanities field or related to writing.
3. Enrollment in or completion of a graduate program related to creative writing.

Payment:

1. The current pay rate for core project work by Telugu (India) writing experts averages USD $7.50 per hour.
2. Rates may vary based on expertise, skills assessment, location, project needs, and other factors. Higher rates may be offered to PhDs. For initial onboarding or overtime phases, lower rates and incentives may apply. Please review specific project payment terms.
