About the opportunity:

1. Outlier is looking for talented writers with fluency in Tamil to help train generative artificial intelligence models.
2. This freelance opportunity is remote and offers flexible hours, allowing you to work at your convenience.
3. Your tasks include reading Tamil (India) text to rank responses produced by an AI, writing short stories in Tamil on given topics, and assessing the factual accuracy of Tamil texts generated by AI.

Examples of desirable expertise:

1. Experience as a professional translator.
2. Enrollment in or completion of an undergraduate program in humanities or related writing fields.
3. Enrollment in or completion of a graduate program in creative writing.

Payment:

1. Average pay rate for core project work by Tamil (India) writing experts is approximately USD $7.50 per hour.
2. Rates vary based on expertise, skills assessment, location, project needs, and other factors. Higher rates may be offered for PhDs. Lower rates may apply during onboarding or overtime phases. Incentive payments may also be available.
