Job summary

Maps Credit Union in West Salem, Oregon, seeks a Teller Specialist to greet members, process transactions, and build relationships. You will balance cash drawers, follow security procedures, and work toward branch goals. In-house training is provided, with optional industry courses to grow skills.

The role starts at $19.50 per hour, plus monthly incentives. Bilingual Spanish speakers may earn an additional $0.50/hour. Schedule includes Monday–Thursday, Friday, and Saturday shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of cash handling experience is required.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience is required.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Maps members in a professional and positive manner.
• Provide excellent customer service while processing account services for members.
• Assess member needs and recommend suitable products and services.
• Help the branch achieve personal and branch monthly goals.
• Accurately balance and maintain cash drawer, checks, and money orders.
• Follow regulatory and credit union security procedures.

Our Teller Specialists are valued for their ability to:

• Engage with Maps members in a professional and positive manner.
• Provide excellent customer service while processing account services to members.
• Enhance member relationships by assessing their needs and recommending products and services.
• Achieve personal and branch monthly goals.
• Accurately maintain and balance a cash drawer, checks, and money orders within established policy limits.
• Follow regulatory and policy compliance requirements and Credit Union operations and security procedures.

As a new Teller Specialist, you will receive in-house training from our Learning & Development team as well as on-the-job training. Additional industry-related classes are available to enhance your knowledge and skills. Requirements

Qualified candidates will have the highest level of ethical behavior and a high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 1 year of cash handling experience and 1 year of customer service experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience, is required. Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred. Must be bondable and able to meet Maps' background check and credit reporting standards.

Starting wage is $19.50 per hour, plus the opportunity to earn monthly incentives. Bilingual Teller Specialists receive an additional .50/hour bilingual pay differential.

Schedule: Monday -Thursday 9:30AM-5:30PM Fridays 9:30AM-6:00PM, and Saturdays 10:00AM-2:00PM
