A Teller Operations Coordinator is the heartbeat of our banking centers. Key Responsibilities Include:
- Lead the Customer Service Satisfaction of the Banking Center, including resolving customer issues in a manner consistent with goals.
- Lead the Technical Performance of the Financial Center by maintaining control over key risk areas, including tellers' differences, operational losses, audit control procedures, resolution of out-of-balance conditions, compliance, and audit functions.
- Handle a cash drawer, ensuring proper control and following all audit and security policies.
- Manage a single control vault, ensuring proper control of vault cash and adherence to policies.
- Maintain workflow and handle teller scheduling.
- Evaluate employee performance and provide counseling when needed.
- Determine training needs and establish performance plans.
- Cross-sell and make referrals to generate new business, promote bank products, and build relationships.
- Conduct teller meetings to communicate policies and foster staff development.
- Explain product benefits, changes, restrictions, and requirements to customers and tellers.
- Ensure proper control and maximum efficiency in the teller line.
- Follow all audit and security policies during customer service hours and opening/closing times.
- Control inventory of cash, traveler’s checks, official checks, and personal money orders through dual control.
- Monitor daily ATM balancing and processing, including audits.
- Verify deposits in the night and lobby depository.
- Alert tellers to any suspected fraud, theft, or illegal activity.
- Secure cash records, transaction records, supplies, and equipment at day's end.
- Monitor and control teller cash limits and branch cash.
- Ensure the branch’s total cash balances daily.
- Coordinate dual control vault responsibilities.
- Use good judgment and follow bank policies when overriding teller transactions.
Qualifications Include:
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Experience with calculators and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Prior teller experience preferred.
