SUMMARY

Provides supervision and support to tellers to ensure maximum customer service in a professional manner. Monitors and trains teller staff to support bank marketing efforts and cross-sell products. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures affecting daily operations. Performs duties to help achieve banking center goals. Delivers quality, accurate, and timely customer service involving daily financial transactions in a retail environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Operational efficiency
  • Handle cash drawer with proper control, following audit and security policies.
  • Manage vault cash, adhering to security policies.
  • Monitor ATM processing, servicing, and audits.
  • Verify deposits in night and lobby depositories.
  • Alert about suspected fraud or illegal activities.
  • Secure transaction records, supplies, and equipment daily.
  • Control teller cash limits and overall cash in the center.
  • Ensure daily cash balancing.
  • Coordinate vault responsibilities.
  • Use good judgment and follow policies for overrides and withdrawals.
  • Assist in balancing and reconcile teller errors.
  • Perform teller cash audits as needed.
  • Client experience
    • Lead efforts to deliver excellent client experiences and resolve issues promptly.
    • Assist clients with service needs to ensure satisfaction.
    • Maintain efficient teller line operations to minimize wait times.
    • Attend training to enhance product and service knowledge.
  • Sales and service
    • Cross-sell products and refer clients to bank partners.
    • Explain product benefits and requirements clearly.
  • Team management
    • Manage teller workflow and schedules.
    • Coach and lead teller team to execute initiatives effectively.
    • Evaluate employee performance and conduct meetings for development.
  • Compliance and risk management
    • Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and internal controls.
    • Maintain control over key risk areas, including audit and security protocols.
    • Manage cash inventory, checks, and money orders.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    Direct and evaluate personnel, including hiring, training, performance appraisals, and discipline, in accordance with policies and laws.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred. 2-5 years of experience or equivalent education and experience.

    Computer Skills

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
