SUMMARY
Provides supervision and support to tellers to ensure maximum customer service in a professional manner. Monitors and trains teller staff to support bank marketing efforts and cross-sell products. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures affecting daily operations. Performs duties to help achieve banking center goals and delivers quality, accurate, and timely customer service through daily financial transactions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Operational efficiency
  2. Handle cash drawer and vault cash, following audit and security policies.
  3. Monitor ATM processing, servicing, and audits.
  4. Verify deposits in night and lobby depositories.
  5. Alert tellers to suspected fraud or illegal activity.
  6. Secure cash records, transaction records, supplies, and equipment at day's end.
  7. Control teller cash limits and overall banking center cash.
  8. Ensure daily cash balancing and assist with vault responsibilities.
  9. Use good judgment when overriding teller transactions.
  10. Assist in balancing and reconcile teller errors.
  11. Perform teller cash audits as required.
  12. Stay informed of operational updates to ensure compliance.

Client experience

  • Lead client experience initiatives, ensuring excellent service and resolving issues promptly.
  • Assist clients with service needs to ensure a positive experience.
  • Maintain efficient teller line operations to minimize wait times.
  • Attend training to enhance product and service knowledge.

Sales and service

  • Cross-sell and refer bank products to generate new business and deepen relationships.
  • Explain product benefits and requirements clearly to clients and staff.

Team management

  • Manage teller workflow and scheduling.
  • Coach and lead the teller team to execute initiatives effectively.
  • Evaluate employee performance and provide counseling.
  • Identify training needs and develop performance plans.
  • Conduct team meetings to communicate policies and promote development.

Compliance and risk management

  • Ensure compliance with bank regulations, policies, and ethical standards.
  • Maintain control over risk areas, including operational losses and audit functions.
  • Follow security policies during all hours.
  • Control inventory of cash, checks, and money orders.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct, coordinate, and evaluate personnel, including hiring, training, performance appraisal, and discipline.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's preferred. 2-5 years of experience or equivalent education and experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
