Job summary

Resound Credit Union is seeking a full-time Member Services Support Specialist (Floater) in Nashville. The role functions as a Universal Associate supporting Branch Operations, Call Center, and other departments, delivering friendly, professional service in person, by phone, and through correspondence.

You will manage member transactions, assist with Online/Mobile banking questions, and help maintain strong security and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; business school or other business training is desired.
• Prefer one year of clerical experience.
• Previous teller or cash handling experience preferred.
• Personal computer experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Process member transactions including deposits, loan payments, cashier’s checks, transfers, check cashing, withdrawals, and wires.
• Proof and verify transactions; examine documents for endorsements and discrepancies.
• Assist Call Center and answer member calls; support Online/Mobile banking questions and password resets.

The Member Services Support Specialist (Floater) functions as a Universal Associate and provides support for the Branch Operations areas, Call Center, and other departments as needed. Works toward the overall credit union goal of providing superior and quality service to members in a friendly, professional manner in person, by phone, and through all correspondence.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Functions as a Universal Associate by processing member transactions, including, but not limited to, deposits, loan payments, cashier's checks, transfers, check cashing, withdrawals, and bank-to-bank wires.
2. Proofs and verifies transactions. Examines documents for endorsements and negotiability and detects and resolves discrepancies.
3. Is alert and aware to help prevent fraudulent activity or errors that would result in a loss to the credit union.
4. Assists in the Call Center by answering member calls and performing transactions. Assists members with Online/Mobile banking questions and password resets.
5. Assists and provides support with operations within other departments as needed.
6. Understands and adheres to all security policies and procedures.
7. Understands and adheres to all Resound policies and procedures.
8. Maintains strict confidentiality of all member information and records.
9. Attends required training and department meetings as directed.
10. Performs other duties as requested.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education

Minimum high school diploma. Business school or other business training is desired.

Experience

Prefer one year of clerical experience. Previous teller or cash handling experience preferred. Personal computer experience is required.

Physical, mental and visual requirements

The responsibilities of this position require the ability to move freely from one area of the building to another and to alternate between standing, sitting, and walking. Many of the duties are performed with a personal computer and require excellent visual, audio, and manual dexterity skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed. This position requires the ability to function in an environment of occasional high stress.

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Must have professional appearance, pleasant personality, and good communication skills. Must be very accurate and detail oriented. Strong initiative, positive attitude, flexibility, and dependability are needed in this position. Must be able to function as a team player and cooperate with co-workers, members, and business associates
