Job summary

Landmark Credit Union in Oak Creek, WI is seeking a friendly teller to serve members with accurate cash handling and friendly, professional service. You will process deposits and withdrawals, balance the cash drawer, and cross-sell other member services.

This role supports branch operations with potential on-the-job training for opening/closing duties and ATM balancing. A high school diploma and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior cash handling or customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving, organizational skills, and ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Experience or ability to gain proficiency in all programs and systems used for this job.
• Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures; comply with laws and regulations.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous teller services to members with accurate cash handling.
• Cross-sell other member services.
• Process mail deposits and withdrawals.
• Assist in balancing the ATM as needed (if not performed by an outside source).
• Potentially train to perform open/close duties with on-site manager.
• Potentially train to verify checks for other tellers.
• Potentially train to perform overrides.
• Cross-train to help in other branch positions.
• Attend training at headquarters or off-site locations as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This position requires working various weekday shifts and every Saturday.

BRANCH HOURS

Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Friday, 8:30 AM to 6 PM
Saturday, 9 AM to 1 PM

NATURE AND SCOPE

Performs transactional duties to serve members by receiving or paying out funds with high accuracy . Provides cash receipt and payment services in accordance with credit union policies and procedures . Presents and explains a basic number of credit union products and services to members . Represents the credit union in a positive and professional manner.

REQUIREMENTS

• 1. High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2. Previous work experience with cash handling or customer service preferred.
• 3. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills and the ability to work independently and within deadlines.
• 4. Must have experience or be able to gain proficiency in all programs and systems used for this job.
• 5. Must develop a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position. Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all job-related State and federal laws and regulations.
• 6. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• 1. Provides friendly, courteous, and expedient teller and other related services to members resulting in a balanced cash drawer daily.
• 2. Cross-sells other member services.
• 3. Processes mail deposits and withdrawals.
• 4. May assist in balancing the ATM (if not performed by an outside source).
• 5. May train to perform open/closing duties (with manager on site).
