Job summary

Onlinelcsb is seeking a detail-oriented Teller to handle cash transactions, deposits, and maintaining accurate records of money and loan payments in a secure, compliant environment.

You will support customers with banking services, balance daily cash, open/close vaults with a supervisor, and participate in safety and information security training with the team.

Responsibilities

• Pay and receive cash, deposits, keep records of money, prepare general ledger entries, and accept loan payments.
• Maintain control and security of the cash drawer, daily balancing, and teller station by adhering to internal bank audit requirements.
• Meet set balancing standards and have basic knowledge of issuing negotiable instruments (bank drafts, cashier's checks, bonds) and travel gift cards.
• Open and close vaults with Teller II or supervisor.
• Utilize brochures and product information to provide customer service and cross-sell bank services.
• Attend all teller and staff meetings.
• Uphold safety and security of all team members, customers, the Bank, and the Bank's privacy & reputation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

65%--Pay and receive cash, deposits, keep records of money, prepare general ledger entries, and accept loan payments. Responsible for maintaining control and security of assigned cash drawer, daily balancing, and teller station by adhering to internal bank audit requirements. Meet set balancing standards. Basic knowledge of issuing, accepting, and maintaining records of negotiable instruments such as bank drafts, cashier's checks, and bonds, and travel gift cards.

15%--Basic knowledge of additional teller duties within the department including but not limited to completing monthly certifications, CTR's and account analysis. Responsible for opening and closing vaults with Teller II or supervisor.

10%--Utilize brochures and product information to provide customer service and cross-sell bank services. Attend all teller and staff meetings.

10%--Ensure the Safety & Security of all team members, customers, the Bank, and personally; this is an essential responsibility of every team member. Accordingly, you, along with all team members, are required to: i) perform your duties in a manner that ensures your safety and the safety of other team members; ii) maintain situational awareness in your environment and alert your supervisor, manager, or another Bank Officer immediately of any a)unusual, suspicious, hazardous, harassing, or disrespectful activity in the Bank by other team members, customers, or others on Bank premises, OR b)situations or circumstances that could compromise team member, customer, or others safety, security, or privacy; iii) understand and comply with Bank security policy and procedures (see LCSB Security Manual, Safety Manual, Harassment Policy, Sexual Harassment Policy, Hazard Communications Program, & Acceptable Use Policy (for IT)); iv) complete all assigned monthly information security training within established timeframes and apply training concepts in the performance of your duties; v) recognize and appropriately handle all suspicious, questionable, or compromising e-mails whether simulated or real; vi) understand and comply with other Bank Policies and Procedures relevant to Safety and Information Technology. Your awareness and action serve to i) prevent or ii) detect & correct safety issues that compromise a) physical security and safetyof yourself, team members, Bank customers, and/or anyone on the Bank's premises; b) Bank's electronic systems integrity (including confidential information about the Bank's operations, customers' accounts, and other team members); and c) any team member, customer, and/or the Bank's privacy & reputation.
