Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides quality service and develops long-term customer relationships. Receives and pays money to bank customers and maintains accurate records of deposits, withdrawals, negotiable instruments, and other transactions.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Greet customers and handle transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, and sale of negotiable instruments.
2. Assist customers with safe deposit boxes as needed.
3. Process mail and night drop transactions, maintain related files.
4. Balance teller drawer at shift end and perform related duties as assigned.
5. Maintain regular attendance and work flexible hours, including weekends if applicable.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of bank products, policies, and procedures.
• Basic math skills and proficiency in operating banking equipment and computer terminals.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to handle confidential information.
• Teamwork and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Teller Career Path Guidelines within 90 days of employment.
• Six months of banking experience preferred; bilingual skills advantageous.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to see, hear, stand, walk, and perform tasks involving lifting, grasping, and fingering, with physical exertion up to 20 pounds occasionally.
