METRO BANK in Lincoln, AL is hiring for a customer-focused teller. The role handles deposits, withdrawals, payments, and everyday banking transactions with accuracy and integrity.

You will verify identities, balance drawers, operate ATMs, and provide excellent service while following security and compliance guidelines. The position requires reliable attendance and willingness to work extended hours.

Formación

• 1–3 years customer service, cash handling or banking experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsabilidades

• Accepts checks for cashing and verifies customer identity.
• Accepts checks and cash for deposits; processes cash, endorsements, receipts.
• Processes Tax Deposits and loan payments.
• Handles credit card cash advances and balances cash drawer.
• Balances and stocks ATM; processes night and mail deposits.
• Sells money orders and other bank services; responds to customer inquiries.
• Maintains cash security and proper cash levels; adheres to bank safety policies.
• Performs other tasks as requested by supervisor.

Job Location: Lincoln Branch - Lincoln, AL 35096

Competencies Required:

• Customer service skills with effective problem solving abilities; ability to maintain composure and convey a positive attitude while interacting with customers as well as staff members.
• Cash handling experience.
• Knowledge of Computer and General Office Equipment. Applicant must have ability to quickly learn banking software.
• Ability to work flexible or extended working hours to meet bank needs; demonstrate good attendance and punctuality.
• Outstanding listening and communication skills both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn banking products, policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines for compliance issues related to job duties.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
• Practices bank security procedures; protects customer confidentiality and privacy.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience:

• 1-3 years customer service, cash handling or banking experience preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Position:

• Accepts checks for cashing-verifying identity of customer
• Accepts checks / cash for deposits. Verifies cash and endorsement, makes change, and issues receipts.
• Processes Tax Deposits
• Receives and processes loan payments
• Processes credit card cash advances
• Balances Cash Drawer
• Balance and Stock ATM
• Processes night deposits and mail-in deposits
• Sells money orders, cashiers, cash advances and other bank related services.
• Responds to customer inquiries as appropriate
• Maintains proper cash level in drawers, keep cash secure and maintains high level of safety for the Bank.
• Responsible for outgoing mail and postage
• Performs other tasks requested by supervisor as they relate to the Bank and its functions.
