Job summary

Deerwood Bank is seeking a full-time Teller to join our Mendota Heights, MN branch. You will handle deposits, withdrawals, and transactions with accuracy while delivering exceptional customer service.

The role includes cash handling, balancing duties, cross-selling services, and supporting branch operations. The position offers Monday–Friday hours with rotating Saturdays and starting pay of $18.75–$20.50 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
• Provide excellent customer service and work in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize and make on the spot decisions regarding customer transactions, balancing customer satisfaction with risk.
• In-depth knowledge of bank deposit products, services and policies; basic loan/investment knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and staff with retail, operations and customer service support.
• Receive customer deposits and payments with proper identification and documentation.
• Maintain currency and coin supply within bank policy.
• Keep balancing records within acceptable limits.
• Be familiar with security equipment and safety precautions.
• Cross-sell and introduce new services to customers per branch goals and regulatory guidance.
• Open and close the bank following proper security procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
