Job summary

FIRST COMMUNITY BANK (SC) is seeking a Customer Service Representative/Teller to provide quality transactions and friendly personal service to customers who prefer in-branch interaction. You will accurately process deposits, loan payments, verify cash, issue checks, and support daily branch operations.

You will balance daily transactions, resolve customer issues, and identify opportunities to refer customers for additional banking products.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate willingness to interact in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Ability to compute basic to moderately complex math calculations.
• Basic problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with PC and office products (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Process basic teller transactions accurately and timely (deposits, loan payments, checks).
• Balance daily work according to Bank policies.
• Handle volume based on branch demands including Teller Capture.
• Resolve customer issues professionally or refer to appropriate staff.
• Support team sales by identifying customer needs and referrals.
• Follow bank policies, security guidelines, and regulations.
• Manage risk in transactions and detect fraudulent activity.
• Opportunity for cross-training for Customer Service Representative and Teller Supervisor.
