Job summary

Nusenda Credit Union in New Mexico is seeking a full-time teller for the Valencia Branch. You will be the member’s first contact, handling routine transactions with accuracy and a customer-focused approach. The role supports flexible scheduling (Monday-Saturday) and branch operations.

Qualifications

• One to three years of similar or related experience.
• Previous banking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process member financial transactions with accuracy per policies and laws.
• Handle cash, negotiable instruments, transfers, and loan/credit card payments.
• Assist members by assessing needs and educating on products; refer to specialists as needed.
• Support branch operations, including opening/closing procedures.
• Operate as vault teller; manage vault cash duties including ordering.
• Assist in training and development of tellers.

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Teller to join our ValenicaBranch who can work Flex 37-40 hours per week with open availability and flexibility, Monday-Saturday.

If you are looking for an opportunity to join our team, our Teller role might be right for you. As a Teller at Nusenda, you are the member’s first point of contact. You will be a trusted financial resource to existing and potential members by assisting with routine financial transactions at an exceptional service level.You will use a consultative approach to evaluate, educate, and fulfill member financial needs, referring members to specialized departments when necessary.

What you'll do:

• Processes member financial transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, laws, and regulations, with a high degree of accuracy.

Financial transactions include, but are not limited to, cash, negotiable instruments, account transfers, and loan/credit card payments.

• Assists members by assessing needs and educating on available products utilizing a needs-based sales approach and refers members to specialized departments as needed.

Assist in a variety of tasks to ensure efficient office operations including opening and closing procedures.

• Operate as a vault teller and is responsible for vault cash duties including cash ordering.

Assist management with training and development of new and existing tellers.

What you'll need:

• One to three years of similar or related experience.
• Previous banking experience preferred.

Equivalent to a high school education.

Key skills and experience:

• Advance knowledge of service delivery operations.
• Accuracy in numbers, procedural detail, processing and balancing negotiable instruments.
• Must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, deal with sensitive information and handle problem resolution.
• Ability to adapt quickly to change and proactively communicate.
