Job summary

Nusenda Credit Union is seeking a Full-Time Teller at the Darrington Branch to work 37-40 hours weekly with open availability Monday through Saturday. As the member's first contact, you will handle routine financial transactions with accuracy and provide exceptional service.

You will educate members on products using a needs-based approach, assist with opening/closing procedures, vault duties, and support training for new tellers. Banking experience preferred; high school education required.

Responsibilities

• Processes member financial transactions in accordance with policies and regulations.

• Assists with opening and closing procedures to ensure efficient operations.
• Acts as vault teller and manages vault cash duties.
• Supports management with training and development of tellers.

We are currently seeking multiple Full-Time Tellers to join our Darrington Branch who can work 37-40 hours per week with open availability Monday to Saturday.

If you are looking for an opportunity to join our team, our Teller role might be right for you. As a Teller at Nusenda, you are the member's first point of contact. You will be a trusted financial resource to existing and potential members by assisting with routine financial transactions at an exceptional service level. You will use a consultative approach to evaluate, educate, and fulfill member financial needs, referring members to specialized departments when necessary.

What You'll Do

• Processes member financial transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, laws, and regulations, with a high degree of accuracy.
• Financial transactions include, but are not limited to, cash, negotiable instruments, account transfers, and loan/credit card payments.
• Assists members by assessing needs and educating on available products utilizing a needs-based sales approach and refers members to specialized departments as needed.
• Assist in a variety of tasks to ensure efficient office operations including opening and closing procedures.
• Operate as a vault teller and is responsible for vault cash duties including cash ordering.
• Assist management with training and development of new and existing tellers.

What You'll Need

• One to three years of similar or related experience.
• Previous banking experience preferred.
• Equivalent to a high school education.

Key Skills And Experience

• Advance knowledge of service delivery operations.
• Accuracy in numbers, procedural detail, processing and balancing negotiable instruments.
• Must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, deal with sensitive information and handle problem resolution.
• Ability to adapt quickly to change and proactively communicate.
