Climb Credit Union is seeking a Teller to greet members, handle transactions, and provide exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

You will respond to inquiries, identify cross-sell opportunities, and maintain accurate records while balancing the cash drawer daily. A willingness to learn and provide friendly service is essential.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of related experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Bilingual preferred, not required.
• Able to operate 10-key calculator and computer keyboard.

Description

The Teller is responsible for greeting members and potential members, identifying their perceived and unperceived needs and processing transactions promptly and accurately. This position promotes quality member service, via telephone or in person. Utilizes a thorough credit union product knowledge, exceptional cross selling and service skills and a professional demeanor to assist each member. Performs exceptional service, working both independently and as a team.

What will you be doing?

• Greet members and potential members, answer all product and service inquiries and resolve problems within authority.
• Refer issues beyond their authority to the next level, along with their recommendations.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and cross-sell services/products beneficial to members in accordance with the credit union’s standards and goals.
• Perform member transactions, within authority, accurately, efficiently with good audit trail within credit union guidelines and policies.
• Ensure that appropriate records are maintained and required reports/tasks processed.
• Maintain a balanced check run and cash drawer at all times.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills

• One year to three years of similar or related experience.
• A high school education or GED.
• Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
• Bilingual preferred, however not required.
• Able to operate a 10-key calculator, typewriter, and computer keyboard.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with compensation of $20.00 hourly depending on experience, education and qualifications.
