Our Tellers are responsible for accurately handling cash, records, and providing exceptional customer service. Regular and timely attendance is essential.

The Bank of Idaho was acquired by Glacier Bancorp, of which Mountain West Bank is a division. In September, the Bank of Idaho will be re-branded as Mountain West Bank. This is a full-time position, requiring availability from 8:15 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Nights and major holidays are off (paid). DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive checking and savings deposits: verify cash and endorsements, receive proper ID, and issue receipts.
• Examine checks and determine funds availability based on regulations; complete hold notices.
• Process withdrawals, verify endorsements, IDs, and validity.
• Identify counterfeit currency.
• Answer basic customer inquiries regarding accounts and services, complying with disclosure requirements and privacy policies.
• Cross-sell bank products and services.
• Refer complex issues to appropriate departments.
• Count and roll coins.
• Issue money orders, cashier’s checks, accept bond orders, and sell travelers checks.
• Accept loan payments and verify amounts.
• Buy/sell currency, ensuring cash drawer limits.
• Maintain teller station supplies.
• Follow procedures for account dormancy.
• Balance drawer daily and process cash advances and bond redemptions.
• Maintain currency logs and follow all policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

About You

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of prior customer service experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong technology and computer skills.
• Ability to use multiple computer programs simultaneously.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with Jack Henry systems.
• 6 months of cash handling experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Work is indoors in a climate-controlled area with moderate noise. Must be able to sit, use hands repetitively, talk, hear, stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity is required for data analysis and inspection. Extended hours and travel may be necessary. Regular attendance is expected.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Starting salary depends on experience and location.
