Qualifications

• Board-certified orthopedic surgeon with NY license
• Experience in Independent Medical Exams (IME)
• Independent contractor reviewer (1099) on per-case basis

Responsibilities

• Reviews medical records against client criteria or guidelines
• Explains rationale with supporting documentation
• Uses national/state guidelines and literature to support decisions
• Returns cases by due date and communicates findings
• Maintains credentialing and state licenses and any required certifications
• Attends orientation and training and performs other duties as assigned
