Job summary

Army National Guard Units in Ohio is seeking a Traffic Management Specialist (GS-2130-9) to support the Defense Movement Coordinator with planning and preparation of unit movement plans and management of military convoy operations.

You will assist with planning mobilization movements, review Unit Movement Plans (UMP) and Unit Movement Data (UMD), coordinate with state DOTs for highway availability, obtain permits, issue Convoy Movement Orders, and participate in training and contingency movement

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or 2 years of graduate study; official transcripts may be required.
• Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Supports the DMC with planning and execution of unit movements and management of military convoys.
• Assists with preparation, maintenance, and execution of training and contingency movement plans for mobilization and deployment.
• Coordinates with state DOTs to determine highway availability, restrictions, and permit requirements; obtains and issues approved permits.
• Reviews and validates Unit Movement Plans (UMP) and Unit Movement Data (UMD) prior to FORSCOM submission.
