The United States Attorney's Office for the District of Montana is seeking experienced, motivated prosecutors to join its Criminal Division. Positions are available in Billings, Helena, and Great Falls, with duties including prosecuting federal offenses and working closely with federal, state, local, and tribal agencies.

Ideal candidates hold a J.D. degree and are active bar members, with strong advocacy, research, and interview skills.

Qualifications

• Applicants must possess a J.D. degree (or equivalent) and be an active member of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction) by their entry on duty date.

Responsibilities

• Prosecute federal offenses; represent United States in hearings, trials, and appeals.
• Draft motions, search warrants, and respond to motions; work with law enforcement.
• Travel 1-5 nights per month and coordinate with agencies.
