Job summary

Hearst Media Production Group (HMPG) seeks a Business Affairs Director to manage FCC compliance for Educational/Informational television and oversee rights, clearances, and production documentation.

The role reports to the Vice President, Business Affairs. On-site four days at Hearst offices in Charlotte, NC or Glendale, CA, with responsibilities spanning contract review, regulatory adherence, and collaboration with legal counsel.

Qualifications

• Must have legal or clearance review experience in entertainment.
• Familiarity with FCC, FTC, COPPA regulations.
• Experience reviewing and negotiating production contracts.

Responsibilities

• Review, negotiate, and draft production and vendor documents.
• Ensure FCC and other regulatory compliance across content.
• Oversee Rights & Clearances and Standard & Practices.
• Collaborate with counsel and internal teams.
