Job summary

Harmony United Psychiatric Care in Port Orange, FL is seeking a Psychotherapist Intern for an outpatient clinic. The position is offered as an Independent Contractor with flexible hours and telehealth options.

The role requires a Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage & family therapy and an active Florida Intern license (or in process). Counseling services will be provided across modalities with collaboration from a multidisciplinary team.

• Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage & family therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological assessments, diagnoses, and therapeutic interventions for patients with various mental health conditions.
• Provide different modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
• Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families about mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies.
• Document services rendered in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Stay current with advancements in psychotherapy and counseling through continuing education and professional development.
