Sky Lakes Medical Center in Oregon is seeking a Telesitter Observation Tech (Flex Team) for part-time, on-site coverage. The role provides continuous observation of patients, uses a camera monitoring system, and communicates with patients via microphone and headset to redirect behavior per RN guidance.
Qualifications include effective verbal and written communication, telephone etiquette, medical terminology, typing and basic computer operations, plus hospital/clinical experience.

POSITION SUMMARY
To provide patient and family centered care in accordance with Sky Lakes Medical Center mission, philosophy, policies and procedures. Provides continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients. Verbally redirects patients from engaging in at risk behaviors detrimental toward self or others. Alerts nursing staff if the patient requires assistance. Is knowledgeable and supportive of the organizations confidentiality and related hospital policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required: Good communication skills both verbal and written; Good telephone etiquette; Medical terminology; Typing and basic computer operation skills; Experience in hospital environment and clinical setting
Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent; Direct patient care.

Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to complete within required time frames and to follow up on pending issues. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and remain calm under stressful situations. Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time while remaining alert at all times. Need effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex issues, exchange information between team members, and tactfully discuss issues.
