Job summary

Pacific Neuropsychiatric Specialists (PNS) is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our outpatient private mental health group. You will diagnose, conduct assessments and prescribe medications for psychiatric-mental health conditions, while developing integrated treatment plans and ensuring follow-up care.

The role blends office outpatient work with telepsychiatry to support patient care across our coordinated team.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid license to practice in the State of California (CA license).
• Must have a National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Must have full prescription authority and DEA licensure.
• Prefer at least two years of Behavioral Health experience or demonstrated equivalent.
• Spanish language ability is highly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and provide ongoing medication management and therapy for new and existing patients.
• Conduct initial in-person and tele-medicine psychiatric evaluations, medication management and monitoring visits.
• Renewing and refilling medication to avoid lapses in treatment.
• Educate the patient on the disease process with guidance on preventative practices for management.
• Provide education, assistance and support to family members to enhance awareness of mental and emotional illness.
