The Baker Center for Children and Families operates The MA Child Abuse Emergency Line for the MA Department of Children and Families. We provide an emergency response system to keep children across the Commonwealth safe from child abuse and neglect.
Summary of Position:
Emergency Line Telephone Screeners work in a supportive team-based environment, collaborating with experienced supervisors on shift to assess the urgency of each call, elicit critical information, and initiate an emergency response when children are at imminent risk. While the Emergency Line operates 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, Telephone Screeners work evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays, when DCF is closed. We offer continuous training and individual supervision with a licensed social worker or LMHC. A Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, or related field is required.
