Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, TX seeks a Telephone Operator to provide courteous and efficient communication between the public, patients and families, staff and physicians. You will support all areas under Business Office Systems and uphold service-excellence standards.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, 2–5 years related experience, and flexibility to handle stressful situations. This role offers a stable hospital environment with opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 2-5 years job related experience recommended.
• Some college education in related field desirable. Flexibility, selfmotivation and high tolerance for stressful situations preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Telephone Operator is responsible for providing courteous, efficient communication between the public, our patients and their families, the Staff and Physicians.
• The position serves as support to all areas under Business Office Systems with various duties as outlined in the job specific duties.
• This position supports an organizational culture for service excellence and practices the service excellence standards to all customer groups.
• Demonstrates ability to effectively assess and implement job responsibilities according to departmental policies and procedures.
