Job summary

R.O.B.O. – Robotics Operations & Business Oversight LLC in Boston is hiring Teleoperation Engineers to support an advanced robotics program. This hands-on role blends robotics operations, teleoperation, data quality, and engineering.

You will work directly with robotic systems, train operators, uphold data quality, and provide feedback to engineering teams. The role can grow in scope as the program scales and involves working with emerging robotic technology.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in training, QA, technical operations, robotics, or related field
• Technical degree completed or in progress — Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields preferred
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to assess quality and coach others toward consistent execution
• Comfortable with digital tools, technical interfaces, and data-driven workflows
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency during repetitive tasks
• Exposure to teleoperation, VR-based gaming, or control systems is a strong plus

Responsibilities

• Operate robotic systems with active teleoperation as a core duty
• Maintain proficiency across teleoperation interfaces, including VR, joysticks, and control rigs
• Onboard and train teleoperation operators and establish standards for task execution and data quality
• Monitor operator performance and data quality; support QA processes and issue investigations
• Develop and maintain SOPs, training materials, and quality frameworks for teleoperation workflows
• Maintain trackers, training outcomes, data quality metrics, and cross-team feedback
• Bridge operations and engineering by translating guidance into practical operating instructions
• Identify operator errors and system inconsistencies; communicate actionable feedback to teams
• Support improvements to data collection workflows and teleoperation interfaces based on real-world insights
