Required Skills/Experience:First-time travelers are welcome with 2 years of cardiac/tele experience required.Required clinical skills include MS/Tele, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, post-MI, pre/post-cardiac-surgery, IV insulin protocols, feeding tube care and management, renal failure, pre/post-hemodialysis management, IV therapy, chest tubes, nasal cannulas, and wound care.
Preferred Skills/Experience:IMC experience preferred.
Special Requests:You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.Travelers must shave for a mask to seal for fit testing; CAPRs and PAPRs are not provided, travelers may not use their own CAPRs or PAPRs at SSM facilities, there are no exceptions, and failure to shave for fit testing will result in cancellation.
Unit Details:Adult and geriatric patient population.Patient ratios are 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights.Patient population includes post-CABG, valve repair, thoracotomy, respiratory failure (trach management), and vascular procedures.
Shift & Scheduling:No call.Every other weekend is required.May need to participate in holiday coverage.
Floating Requirements:Floating is required across all care areas to care for MS, MS/Tele, and Tele patients as needed.
