Description

We are hiring for a Telemetry Technician position at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK. Position is full‑time, 0.9 FTE, day shift, 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Under supervision, the Monitor Technician (MT) is responsible for cardiac and oximetry monitor surveillance for monitored and telemetry patients. They report rhythm changes and potentially lethal rhythms to a registered nurse following the outlined workflow and interact directly with physicians regarding interpretation of cardiac rhythm patterns or changes.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training and verification of completion of basic EKG cardiac rhythm recognition course required within six months of hire
• 6 months of experience working in a healthcare or institutional setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework/Training and medical terminology course
• Coursework/Training and verification of advanced cardiac rhythm recognition course
• 6 months of experience monitoring ECGs in an area that can monitor at least 16 patients

Wage and Compensation

Posted wage range: $19.40 – $29.08 per hour. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
