Job summary

Description

We are hiring for Telemetry Technician positions at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK!

  • Position is Full time, 0.9 FTE, Night Shift, 36 hours per week.

Under supervision the Monitor Technician (MT) is responsible for cardiac and oximetry monitor surveillance for monitored and telemetry patients. Responsible for reporting rhythm changes and potentially lethal rhythms to a Registered Nurse following outlined workflow. Interacts directly with physicians regarding the interpretation of cardiac rhythm patterns or changes in patterns. Maintains a safe, hazard free and clean environment which facilitates quality patient focused care.

Required Qualifications
  • Coursework/Training and Verification of completion of basic EKG cardiac rhythm recognition course required with-in six(6) months of hire
  • 6 months of experience working in a healthcare or institutional setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Coursework/Training and Medical terminology course
  • Coursework/Training and Verification of advanced cardiac rhythm recognition course
  • 6 months of experience monitoring ECGs in an area that has the capability to monitor at least 16 patients

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
