Select Specialty Hospital Birmingham in Birmingham, AL seeks a Telemetry Technician / Monitor Technician for PRN night shifts at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center. Base compensation is $19.00 per hour, with competitive night and weekend differentials.

You will monitor patient rhythms, respond to alarms, and perform EKG interpretations with RN validation. Orientation is extensive, and there may be opportunities for advancement.

Qualificações

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs within 30 days of start.
• Pass required tests/competencies as required by Select Medical.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• LPN, paramedic, or RN with EKG training preferred; LPNs limited to telemetry tech role.

Responsabilidades

• Continuously watching and ensuring appropriate and timely responses to alarms; verify identification of rhythms and maintain monitor alarms.
• Continuously observe all monitors and respond to alarms promptly and appropriately.
• Perform EKG interpretations including rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QT and rhythm interpretation.
• Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN.
