Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus is seeking a Telemetry Technician to monitor EKGs, manage alarms, and interpret rhythms during 12-hour night shifts on a per diem basis. You will work under RN supervision to ensure patient safety and accurate telemetry readings.

The role requires completing an EKG class within 30 days of start and may prefer candidates with LPN/Paramedic or RN EKG training. Per diem status includes eligibility for 401k after meeting hours and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs within 30 days of start date.
• Preferred background as LPN/Paramedic or RN with EKG training.

Responsibilities

• Watch and respond to alarms continuously and appropriately.
• Monitor multiple EKGs and respond to alarms.
• Perform EKG interpretations: rate, rhythm, PRI, QRS, QTc, ST segment.
• Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN.
