Qualifications

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies.
• Preferred background as LPN, paramedic or RN nursing student with EKG training.

Responsibilities

• You will continuously watch monitors and respond to alarms promptly and appropriately.
• Verify identification of basic and lethal rhythms and artifact; maintain EKG monitor alarms.
• Complete EKG interpretations: rate, rhythm, PRI, QRS, QT intervals, ST segment, waveform changes.
• Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN.
