Job summary

Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA is seeking a Telemetry Technician for North Telemetry. This full-time position involves 12-hour day shifts at the on-site facility.

Opportunity to contribute to patient care through continuous cardiac monitoring and arrhythmia detection. The role includes clerical duties and participation in orientation and competency assessments. Ideal candidates have completed Dysrhythmia Recognition and Basic Arrhythmia courses and hold or will obtain BLS

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Dysrhythmia Recognition Course.
• Completion of Basic Arrhythmia course or demonstrated rhythm interpretation.
• ECG test required prior to job offer.
• Enrolled in internal orientation course.
• Periodic competency assessments will occur.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association required after hire.

Telemetry Technician - North Telemetry at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. This position is Full Time and will work 12-hour, Day shifts.

Performs cardiac telemetry monitoring and arrhythmia detection through continuous observation of the Central Monitoring system as a primary job responsibility and performs department clerical duties as a collateral responsibility.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training Successful completion of Dysrhythmia Recognition Course.


• Coursework/Training Required to either have completed the “Basic Arrythmia” course or have demonstrated experience in rhythm interpretation.


• Coursework/Training Will require applicants to complete ECG test prior to job offer being extended.


• Coursework/Training Will be enrolled in an internally-developed online course as part of orientation.


• Coursework/Training Will have periodic competency assessment.


• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• H.S. Diploma or GED


• Coursework/Training Successful completion of Medical Terminology Course.


• 6 months Experience in a hospital environment.
