Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport, IA is seeking a Telemetry Technician for full-time night shifts. You will monitor alarms, interpret EKGs, and respond promptly to events with RN validation of strip interpretations.

Qualifications

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies within 30 days.
• Pass education platform requirements and other required tests.
• Preferred: LPN/RN nursing background or nursing student with EKG training.

Responsibilities

• Continuously watch alarms and respond promptly to indicate appropriate actions.
• Verify identification of rhythms, maintain EKG monitor alarms, and respond to alarms.
• Perform EKG interpretations including rate, PRI, QRS, QT, and rhythm interpretation.
• Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN.
