Job summary

CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO seeks a Telemetry Technician to provide advanced ECG monitoring, observe arrhythmias, and manage continuous telemetry for multiple patients. This night-shift position (630 PM–7 AM) requires attention to changes and clear communication; BLS within 90 days and telemetry interpretation coursework within 90 days are preferred.

Education requires a high school diploma; experience in EKG or related healthcare is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: EKG or related healthcare experience.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• Telemetry interpretation courses within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced ECG monitoring by observing for arrhythmia interpretation, life-threatening dysrhythmias, and rate/rhythm changes for patients on continuous telemetry.
• Responsible for monitoring multiple patients simultaneously.
• Communicate changes in a timely manner using calm and succinct communication strategies.
• Facilitate removal of telemetry for patients when orders expire.
