Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Telemetry Monitor Technician to join our team. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary group to monitor patients on telemetry under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or provider, ensuring a safe environment and timely communication of rhythm changes.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and completion of rhythm interpretation training; English communication skills and basic computer knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Function as an interdisciplinary team member to meet patient and family care needs.
• Communicate with health care team to assist in the care plan and ensure a safe environment of care.
• Telemetry monitor technician monitors all patients on telemetry under the direct supervision of the RN; takes responsibility under a provider.
• Maintain regulatory requirements, nursing policies, procedures and standards.
• Communicate with physicians and team members about patient's rhythm and rhythm changes.
