Mayo Clinic is seeking a Telemetry Monitor Technician for part-time shifts. You will work under RN supervision to monitor telemetry patients, assist in care planning, and ensure a safe environment. Requires a high school diploma and upcoming CRAT certification within a year.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• CRAT (Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician) certification required within one year of employment.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Demonstrates solution-oriented decision making and problem solving, utilizes excellent verbal and written communication, flexibility, team building, and displays honesty, respect, and trust in daily work.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Functions as an interdisciplinary team member to meet patient and family care needs.
• Communicates with health care team to assist in the care plan, interventions, and provision of a safe environment of care.
• The telemetry monitor technician monitors all patients on telemetry under the direct supervision of the RN.
• Takes responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a registered nurse and/or provider.
• Maintains regulatory requirements, nursing policies, procedures and standards.
• Communicates with physicians and team members about patient's rhythm and rhythm changes.
