Job summary

Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian is seeking a Telemetry Tech/Clerical Coordinator I to monitor electrocardiograms and SPO2 for designated patients and promptly inform the RN of changes. You will maintain and check monitoring equipment daily and support the patient care team, handling telephones, call lights, and light clerical duties.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Recent experience as a Telemetry Tech/Clerical Coordinator in an acute healthcare environment preferred.
  • Completion of basic arrhythmia course and ECG test required.
  • Completion of a Clerical Coordinator course including medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs some clerical functions including organizing the clinical station, tracking equipment inventory, as well as monitoring electronic orders.
  • Notifies Charge nurse of new admits and maintains census record.
  • Participates in Swap Shifts to ensure skill competency.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
