Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Recent experience as Telemetry Tech/Clerical Coordinator in acute care preferred.
• Completion of basic arrhythmia course and ECG test required.
• Completion of Clerical Coordinator course including medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor electrocardiogram and SPO2 continuously for designated patients and inform RN of changes.
• Maintain and check monitoring equipment daily.
• Answer telephones and patient call lights promptly; assist patients and visitors.
• Perform clerical functions including organizing the clinical station and tracking equipment inventory.
• Notify Charge nurse of new admits and maintain census records.
• Participate in swap shifts to ensure skill competency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
