Job summary

Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach, CA, seeks a Telemetry Tech/Clerical Coordinator I to monitor ECG and SPO2 continuously for designated patients and promptly inform the RN of changes. Night shift full-time and part-time positions are open, joining a dedicated patient-care team.

You will support clinical operations by maintaining equipment, answering phones and call lights, and assisting patients and visitors, while handling clerical tasks and census records as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Recent experience as a Telemetry Tech/Clerical Coordinator in an acute healthcare environment preferred.
• Completion of basic arrhythmia course and ECG test required.
• Completion of a Clerical Coordinator course including medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor electrocardiogram and SPO2 measurements constantly for designated patients.
• Inform the RN of changes and coordinate with the patient care team.
• Answer telephones and patient call lights promptly; assist patients and visitors.
• Maintain clinical station organization and monitor equipment inventory.
• Notify Charge nurse of new admits and maintain census record.
• Participate in Swap Shifts to ensure skill competency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
