Job summary

Sutter Delta Medical Center, part of Sutter Health, is seeking a clerical health unit assistant to support nursing and physician staff. You will monitor cardiac rhythms, manage charts and data, process admissions and orders, and ensure privacy and safety in a confidential environment, with daily 8-hour shifts and every-other weekend availability.

Required are a HS Diploma or GED, 1 year of relevant experience, and certifications including BLS, EKG, and CCT/CRAT within 30 days.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• EKG certification within 30 days of hire.
• CCT or CRAT certification within 30 days of hire.
• Understand heart's electrical system and PHI privacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical support on the nursing unit.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and report changes.
• Chart management and data collection.
• Handle forms management, orders and results.
• Process admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Maintain departmental communications and privacy.
