Job summary

Saint Thomas Hospital for Specialty Surgery is hiring a Telemetry Technician for the Day Shift to support continuous cardiac monitoring and accurate documentation in a busy hospital environment.

The role requires a High school diploma or equivalent, BLS, and relevant certifications with a preference for prior hospital experience. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care and safety, benefits included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA, PCT, MA certification or equivalent preferred.
• Monitor Tech Certification or basic dysrhythmias course with competencies required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum one year hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient cardiac rhythms and maintain accurate records with prompt reporting of changes.
• Interface with patients, families and staff via phone and in person to coordinate care.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies and patient safety protocols.

Telemetry Technician at Saint Thomas Hospital for Specialty Surgery

The Telemetry Monitor Technician is responsible for accurate record keeping, observation of monitors and prompt reporting of cardiac rhythm changes. As the Patient Care Technician, individual will interface with visitors, patients, family, and physicians on phone and in person for Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth and Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Outpatient Center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Patient Care Technician (PCT), Medical Assistant (MA) Certification, or equivalent
• Monitor Tech Certification, or completion of a basic dysrhythmias course with documented competencies
• BLS Required
• Minimum one (1) year experience in a hospital setting preferred
