Job summary

Telemetry Tech – Day Shift at Saint Thomas Hospital for Specialty Surgery

Saint Thomas Hospital for Specialty Surgery is hiring an experienced Telemetry Technician for the day shift, playing an essential role in monitoring patient vital signs and responding to changes in cardiac rhythm.

Responsibilities

The Telemetry Monitor Technician is responsible for accurate record keeping, observation of monitors and prompt reporting of cardiac rhythm changes. As the Patient Care Technician, individual will interface with visitors, patients, family, and physicians on phone and in person for Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth and Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Outpatient Center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Patient Care Technician (PCT), Medical Assistant (MA) Certification, or equivalent
• Monitor Tech Certification, or completion of a basic dysrhythmias course with documented competencies
• BLS Required
• Minimum one (1) year experience in a hospital setting preferred
