Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals invites applications for a Team Leader, Cardiac Monitoring to oversee daily operations of telemetry monitoring stations and support staff. You will partner with department leadership to coordinate workflows, mentor staff, and ensure high standards in cardiac rhythm monitoring to support quality patient care across the organization.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in healthcare, 1 year in a leadership role, strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms, and a valid BLS

Qualifications

• 3 years of healthcare experience.
• 1 year of leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms and telemetry monitoring practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Department Manager with daily operations of monitoring stations and support staff.
• Audit telemetry strips and monitoring documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with department standards.
• Review flow strips and monitoring records to confirm correct and consistent completion.
• Provide coaching and ongoing education to team members to maintain competency in cardiac rhythm monitoring.
• Coordinate staffing, workflows, and quality initiatives in support of WakeMed's mission and values.
