Job summary

Qualifications

• Current NYS RN license and registration required.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS and ACLS required (American Heart Association).
• Telemetry Med/Surg experience preferred.
• IV/Phlebotomy and EKG certification required.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Nursing assessment based on interview, examination, observation and records review.
• Develops a goal-oriented care plan with patient participation.
• Nursing actions aligned with the care plan and hospital procedures.
• Demonstrates competent nursing skills reflecting knowledge and judgment.
• Collaborates with the care team to establish standards and policies.
• Coordinates care activities and discharge planning, delegating as needed.
• Provide care to surgical step-down patients including IV therapy and EKG interpretation.
