Job summary

Qualifications

  • RN telemetry/Med-Surg experience in a hospital setting.
  • Current NY RN license required.
  • BCLS/ACLS certification required; EKG skills preferred.
  • Specialized skills may include remote telemetry, IV therapy, chemo, IV/Phlebotomy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, competent nursing care to a designated patient group.
  • Perform nursing assessment via interview, exam, and records review.
  • Develop goal-oriented care plans with patient involvement.
  • Align nursing actions with care plan, medical regimen, and hospital procedures.
  • Demonstrate professional nursing skills and clinical judgment.
  • Collaborate with health-care team to develop and evaluate standards of care.
  • Coordinate patient care activities, teaching, rounding, counseling, and discharge planning.
