Job summary

Torrance Memorial Medical Center is seeking a Staff RN to provide comprehensive nursing care in a telemetry unit. The RN will use the nursing process to develop and implement individualized care plans for a defined patient population, collaborating with physicians, clinicians and families throughout the care continuum.

Responsibilities include monitoring patient status, interpreting EKG tracings, administering medications safely, and participating in education for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license
• ACLS certification from American Heart Association
• 1 year telemetry experience
• Basic arrhythmia/12-lead ECG course or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Uses nursing process to deliver patient care per unit protocols.
• Provides age-appropriate, evidence-based nursing care to patient population.
• Communicates with patient, family, and care team across continuum of care.
